Privacy Notice
Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
We are Lines Bidder. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we
collect it, and the rights you have under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). By creating
an account you consent to the processing described here.
1. Who we are
We, Lines Bidder, operate this platform and are the controller of your personal
data. For any privacy request or question, contact us at lines.bidder@gmail.com.
2. What personal data we collect
We collect only the data you provide when you register and use the Platform:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Position (Captain / First Officer), aircraft type and base city
- Your password, stored only as a one-way hash (we never store or see your actual password)
- Your in-app preferences and bid selections
- Usage analytics: the pages you open and features you use, together with technical
request metrics (response times, error counts) and the server's own resource usage. Feature/page
usage is linked to your account so administrators can understand usage and keep the service healthy.
Usage analytics. We collect this only to operate, secure, and scale the
Platform (for example, to know when the server needs upgrading) — never for advertising or profiling.
It is visible to the owner only, stays in the same in-Kingdom database, and is kept for
a limited, configurable retention window (7 days by default). The owner can shorten, extend, or clear it
at any time.
3. Why we collect it (purpose)
Your data is processed solely to operate the bidding platform: to verify and
approve your account, authenticate you, display the schedule relevant to your aircraft and position,
and let you build and manage your bid. We do not use your data for advertising,
profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
4. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent and as necessary to provide the
service you request. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8); withdrawing consent
may mean we can no longer provide you the service.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not share it for
marketing. Your data stays within the Platform’s own database. We rely only on the limited service
providers needed to run the Platform:
- Cloud hosting: the server and database that run the Platform.
- Email delivery: to send account approval and password-reset messages to your address.
6. Where your data is stored (data residency)
Your data is hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We do not transfer your personal data outside
the Kingdom except where permitted under the PDPL and its regulations.
7. How long we keep it (retention)
We keep your data only while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and your
data at any time (for example, by sending us an email), and we will delete it. We do not keep accounts
longer than needed.
8. Your rights under the PDPL
Subject to the PDPL, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your data is processed;
- Access your personal data and obtain a copy;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request deletion of your data;
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a concern about your data, please contact the admin at lines.bidder@gmail.com.
9. How we protect your data
We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), one-way hashing of
passwords, access controls, and administrative approval before accounts are activated.
10. Your responsibilities & the limits of our liability
Protecting personal data is an obligation of means, not of result: we commit to
exercising the care of a diligent, professional party, but no system can guarantee absolute or
perfect protection, and we do not warrant such a result.
- No guarantee against breach. We make reasonable efforts to comply with security
standards, but no system can be guaranteed secure. We do not guarantee that data will never be
breached or leaked, and we are not responsible if the platform is hacked or its data is leaked by
any means.
- We never ask for your password. We will never request your password by
email, message, phone, or any other channel, and we only ever store it as a one-way hash, so we
cannot see it. Anyone asking you for your password is not us.
- Keep your account and sensitive details private. You are responsible for the
confidentiality of your account. Sensitive data includes, by way of example and not limitation:
your badge number, your position, your aircraft,
your username, and your password. Do not disclose any of them to
anyone.
- Disclosure by you. We are not responsible, and we disclaim all liability, if
your personal data is leaked by you to any person, or if you give your account or any private or
sensitive data to anyone other than the genuine account holder (the real beneficiary of the
account). We are likewise not responsible for any laxity or negligence on your part in
safeguarding your own data, in any form.
- Acceptance of these terms. By creating an account you acknowledge that you
have read this notice and agree to all of its terms in full, without exception.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the
Platform.
